What are the dimensions of blockboard?

Blockboard-often referred to as "large-core board"-is constructed by gluing and pressing a core of joined wooden strips between two outer veneer layers. The combined thickness of the two outer veneers must be at least 3mm. The core consists of high-quality natural wood strips; high-grade veneers are applied to the surfaces, and the assembly is bonded using a hot and cold pressing process. Standard dimensions are 1220mm in width and 2440mm in length. Regarding thickness, 18mm is the most common; available specifications include 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, and 20mm, with 15mm and 18mm being the most frequently used. Most blockboard on the market is solid-core, edge-glued, double-sided sanded, and five-layered. Variations in thickness result in differences in price.
